Ice Gap Scenic Area (in simplified Chinese 冰峪沟风景区) is located in Zhuanghe, which is about 240 km from the centre of Dalian City. Inside the Area, there are three regions, namely Longhua region, Lan Ma region, and Fu Yung region. These regions occupy an area of about one hundred and ten square kilometers. In Ice Gap Scenic Area, there is ice but there are also tall trees as well as beautiful flowers. Some people once compared this area with scenic areas in Guilin and Liaoning. However, there are a lot of people saying that Ice Gap Scenic Area has another kind of attractive feeling to them and it is something that could not be provided by the scenic areas in Guilin or Liaoning. Therefore, Ice Gap Scenic Area is really very unique in China.

In this area, there are exotic rocks, and there are a lot of beautiful cliffs. In the three regions of this area, there are many caves. The biggest one is the roof peak before long huashanica Prajna side hole in a Ming-Dynasty Buddhist temple built inside the cave. Inside the area, you would also be able to see very clear water. The water would just be like a mirror, in which you could see yourself very clearly.

Since reform and opening up in Dalian, rapid development of the travel industry had encouraged the great development of Ice Gap Scenic Area. In fact, developing this area had become one of the major projects of the government. Ice Gap Scenic Area is also one of the places which bring Dalian become a major tourism destinations of Chinese people as well as foreigners.

In Ice Gap Scenic Area, you would be able to enjoy adventure, fishing, skating, ice show, etc. You would be able to experience the great views, as well as the great life of Dalian people. There are some houses built by local people to provide accommodations for tourists. If you have a limited budget, you could try to visit these houses and live with the local people. You would surely fall in love with the simple life of them.
